Stewart School beat defending champions Venkateswar English Medium School (Unit-IV) in the final by 38 runs to win the Bhubaneswar Inter-School Cricket Tournament at BJB College ground in Bhubaneswar today.
Subhajit Das slammed a dashing 81 to be adjudged the man of the match and the man of the tournament.
Orissa Cricket Association secretary Asirbad Behera gave away the trophy at the closing function. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Himanshu Lal and host Veterans` Cricket Association of Orissa president M S Mustaque Ali were present on the occasion.
Brief scores: Stewart School 206/8 in 40 overs (Subhajit Das 81, Shantanu Mishra 29: SM Bari 3 wkts, B Paramanik 2 wkts) beat Venkateswar EMS 168/10 in 37.2 overs (Sashikanta Mishra 34, B Paramanik 24: Bipul Pradhan 4/13, Shantanu Mishra 3/27).
